About Chris

Where did you go to school? How many years have you been a therapist? Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?

I’ve been a therapist since May of 2015.  I went to school and Lauterstein and conway.

What do you consider your specialty modality or stand out area of the body/type of injury you feel you are an expert at addressing? How do you describe your massage/work to others?

I’ve been a athlete all my life and received my first massage in my late thirties while training to run in the Olympic Trials.  I was amazed and the benefits it gave my body to train at a high level and the ability it gave me to compete and stay healthy as an athlete.  I would say my specialty is deep tissue and sports massage.  I was a biology/ exercise science major in college so I have a strong background in the functionality of the body especially through exercise and strength training.

What brought you to AMC? And what will you bring to the team at AMC?

I’ve lived in Austin now for 25 years.  Ive been in running community of Austin and am very aware of the impact AMC has provided for this city and am extremely excited to be a part of it!

When you are not massaging, what do you like to do with your time? What do you do to stay healthy?

When I'm not massaging Im spending time with my 6 children, running ulltra distances, cycling, weight training and enjoying my life in Austin with my close friends.
